Account Information: When you create a parent or teacher account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password for login purposes.
Student Data: To connect parents with their children’s classroom activities, the school administration may enter student names, class information, and attendance records.
User-Generated Content: We store content that you create within the app, such as messages, class announcements, homework details, and any photos or file attachments you upload.
Payment Records: If the school enables this feature, the app stores records of tuition and fees as entered by the school for accounting purposes. Important: ClassGate does not process any payments or handle sensitive financial information like credit card numbers directly.
Diagnostics and Usage Data: To improve app stability and user experience, we automatically collect anonymized crash reports, performance data, and information about how you interact with the app’s features.

2. How We Use Information

To provide secure login and manage your account.
To deliver announcements, homework details, and messages between authorized teachers and parents.
To allow the school to manage attendance, student records, and track fee payments.
To analyze usage patterns and fix bugs to improve the app’s functionality.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or other third parties. Data is shared only in the following ways:

Within the App: Data is only accessible to authorized users, such as the school administration, assigned teachers for their specific classes, and parents for their own children.
Third-Party Partners: To provide our services, we rely on trusted third-party partners for essential app functions.
- Firebase (a Google Service): We use Firebase for core features including secure user authentication, cloud database hosting, crash reporting (Crashlytics), and analytics. By creating an account and using the ClassGate app, you agree to the following terms:

1. Authorized Use: The app is intended for official communication between registered schools, their teachers, and the parents/guardians of their students only. Parents may only access data related to their own children.

2. Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and login credentials. Sharing your login information with unauthorized individuals is strictly prohibited.

3. Acceptable Content: You agree not to upload or share any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or inappropriate for a school environment. All homework, announcements, and attachments are the responsibility of the user who posts them.

4. Payments: If the payment tracking feature is used, you acknowledge that the app only serves as a record-keeping tool for payments made to the school. ClassGate is not a payment processor and is not responsible for any financial transactions.

5. Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. We will notify you of any significant changes, typically through an in-app notification or by updating the “Last Updated” date on this document.
